Shrouded Fable
The Pokémon Company International has announced a captivating new special expansion for the ever-popular Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). Titled Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable, this mini set will be available starting August 2, 2024, at participating retailers worldwide, including Pokémon Center, the go-to online store for official Pokémon merchandise.
Exciting Debut of Pecharunt in TCG
Pecharunt, a Pokémon first introduced in the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, will make its TCG debut in this expansion as a Darkness-type Pokémon. Notably, Pecharunt ex will have a unique ability called Subjugating Chains, allowing players to switch in a benched Darkness-type Pokémon. This strategic addition can be paired with Okidogi ex, Munkidori ex, and Fezandipiti ex to create various play combinations.
Unique Foil Patterns and Card Details
Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable introduces a distinct foil pattern for its parallel foil cards, setting them apart from previous expansions. Players can identify these cards by checking the expansion code located at the bottom-left corner, which is displayed in a white box with black text, contrary to the usual black box with white text.
